Le Petit Parisien article 01 photo vélocipèdes et vieilles voitures 1

On the occasion of the inauguration of the bench erected in the Saint-Germain forest in memory of Pierre Giffard, an exhibition of old vehicles, precursors of the fine bicycles and luxurious automobiles of today, was organized. Here are some photos taken during this picturesque event. Above, in the center Ch. Terront, the winner of the Paris-Brest and return race (1891), which was the most resounding of the sporting events created by Pierre Giffard on the right and left: two motor cars... aged about thirty years old; bottom: the “velocipedes” are preparing to parade.
