Page Two - The extendable orchestra seat is the invention of the "Pêle-Mêle" this week. According to an exclusive report from La Bignole: "It is permissible to think in authorized circles" that a certain parliamentary group or "caucus" is considering introducing an extendable, but non-ejectable, seat in the chamber. For their part, some senators would be inclined to adopt a simpler model with only the lower seat position, as the upper position is not necessary in the Senate, and the senators' capillaries are conspicuous more by their absence than by their abundance. |
