 Mouzaïa or Buttes-Chaumont?
The residents of Rue de Mouzaïa are dissatisfied with the name of this street and, through a petition recently submitted by their councilor to the City Council, are requesting that their street be renamed Avenue des Buttes-Chaumont. Mouzaïa, however, is a glorious name in the conquest of Algeria, and, apart from the fear of seeing the many Sidis residing in Paris take up their headquarters on the street in question, we do not clearly see the motives given for swapping the name Mouzaïa for Buttes-Chaumont.
