The 1924 Olympic Games Accounts Unanimously Approved
Yesterday, the French Olympic Committee, under the chairmanship of Mr. Gaston Vidal, continued its review of the 1924 Olympic accounts. Seventeen federations were represented. After a presentation by the President, Mr. Genet, Chairman of the Accounts Commission, read his report, congratulating the Executive Committee on its sound management. The accounts were then unanimously approved, with the federations that had abstained the other day voting in favor. The same was true of the balance sheet; after which, the French Olympic Committee discharged its Executive Committee for its management. Mr. Vidal, in closing, thanked and congratulated all those who had dedicated themselves to the success of the Games, adding: "If it were permissible to give the last Olympiad the name of the person who was its organizer, the VIII Olympiad would bear the name of Frantz Reichel Olympiad." A well-deserved tribute, which was applauded, as was fitting.
