L'Éclaireur du dimanche - July 19, 1925

Juan-les-Pins Municipal CasinoLÉclaireur du dimanche 1925 07 19 art 07 casino de Juan les Pins 7
(ANTIBES COMMUNE)

The English Squadron's stay at the Golf Juan was the occasion for a series of parties and galas that attracted the elite of our vacationers and dignitaries staying on the Côte d'Azur to the elegant establishment.
The gala on Wednesday, July 8th, to which Mr. Taylor, the British Vice-Consul in Cannes, had invited Admiral Hodges and his staff, was most dazzling. The Admiral had the thoughtful touch of directing all the searchlights of the twelve units in port onto the Casino terraces at dinner time, and this grandiose spectacle left a lasting impression on the elegant crowd that thronged the "Restaurant de la Frégate" that evening.
Recognized at the tables:
Admiral Hodges and his staff; Mr. Taylor, the British Vice-Consul in Cannes; Mr. Ricolfi and Mrs. Mr. Guillaumont, Mayor of Antibes; Mr. Capron, Mayor of Cannes; Princess Ghika, Mr. and Mrs. Saawedra, Mrs. Mary Garden, Mr. Orr Lewis, Prince Philippe de Bourbon, Prince and Princess Radziwil, Mr. and Mrs. Martinez de Rivas, Mr. and Mrs. de Souza, Colonel Byrn, Baron Limmander, Mr. Odgen, Mr. Léon Garibaldi, Mr. Gondoni, Lady Teutley, Mr. and Mrs. Ponturier, Mr. Henning, Lady Cockran, Mrs. Laurens, Mrs. Victor, Mrs. Isadora Duncan, Mr. Claford, Colonel Wright, Baron Lagrange, Mr. Max Regis, etc., etc.
