The strike of young telegraph operators continues

The "boulistes" strike continues
But the Administration addresses their parents

The telegraph postmen held another meeting yesterday where they affirmed their determination to continue their strike movement until the end, that is to say until they obtain 500 francs.
The strikers do not seem to have increased in number, although a certain number of auxiliaries from the suburban offices have followed their example, but this contribution only compensates for the income: some of the most ardent strikers have in fact been brought back to their receiver by their families.

The daily communiqué from the P.T.T. undersecretariat states that the movement does not exist in the provinces, where no defections have been noted. The Administration has notified the parents of those concerned of a formal notice for them to have to resume their service on Monday morning.

A promise of a solution
A delegation from the Confederate Postal Federation was received by the Minister of Finance. Mr. Richier, secretary of the union section of the Central Telegraph, accompanied the delegation.
The delegation strongly insisted in favor of the allocation of 500 francs to help young postmen and apprentices
The Minister promised to seek a fair solution and to make a decision quickly. The Confederate Postal Federation instructed Mr. Richier to inform those concerned of the results of the interview.

The movement does not extend outside the P.T.T.
The Unitary Federation of Public Services is trying to extend the movement, from the boules postmen to the auxiliaries of the various State services and in particular to those of pensions. A delegation of State auxiliaries belonging to the C.G.T. was received yesterday evening at the Ministry of Pensions. She was assured that no final decision has yet been taken by the Council of State on the application of Article 18 concerning the tenure of auxiliaries who are victims of the war.

The rumors that the Council of State has been hostile to this application are therefore completely unfounded.
