AN UPDATE FROM MR. WALTER

MP Walter, President of the Action Committee for Religious Defense, informs us that, contrary to certain press reports, it was not two weeks ago, but at an earlier date, that Mr. Herriot, President of the Council, gave him a commitment not to make any changes to the school status of Alsace and Lorraine before parliamentary debates on this serious issue had taken place.
