THE RESCUER CAT.
Boom! That's the name of a Maltese cat who achieved fame in just a few seconds.
He lived in New York, at 88 8th Avenue, in an apartment with his owners, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
He was well-behaved and clean, striving to show his gratitude in every way to them, who had rescued him one evening from the street when he was dying of hunger.
In the middle of the night, a few days ago, a fire broke out in the building. The flames suddenly, for some unknown reason, climbed up the walls, entering through the windows into the apartments, transforming the entire house into a huge blaze.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who were fast asleep, would have been charred if it hadn't been for Boom. The unfortunate cat, who had his bed in an adjoining room, could have escaped directly. He ran through the flames to wake his owners. Here's a new chapter to add to the great book devoted to animal intelligence.
