American Leaves Bequest... To Pay Part of French Debts
New York, February 27. Mr. Raymond L. Bridgam, a Boston journalist, who died last week, has left the State 18,400 francs to pay part of the French debt to the United States." In his will he explains that this gift is made to emphasize the duty of the United States to abolish war debts, because of the sufferings experienced by the Allies and the losses that have been spared to America.
