The shareholders of Pyla-sur-Mer are temporarily in despair, and with good reason. A forgotten law has just been put into effect. Companies that are building subdivisions must only put their land up for sale when they have fulfilled the promises made to buyers: completion of roads, sewers, water pipes, etc. The plan of future towns must be submitted for approval to the municipalities on which the subdivisions depend. Since Pyla-sur-mer depends on La Teste, the shareholders completed this formality at the town hall of our former canton. La Teste, doubtless not satisfied when it learned that Pyla-sur-mer was demanding to be attached to Arcachon, refused to give its approval to the said plan, which meant that the company had to suspend the sale of its land.
