THE INTERNATIONAL CHESS TOURNAMENT
ALEKHINE AND TARTAKOWER DRAWN GAME AT THE FIFTY-EIGHTH MOVE

Colle and Opocensky adjourn until Monday It was, according to connoisseurs, a fine and learned game that Alekhine and Doctor Tartakower played yesterday.
The latter, who seemed to be suffering from bad luck the day before, and who had been forced to bow to his lucky partner, Znosko-Borowsky, this time played his game so severely that, at 8 p.m., after the fifty-eighth move, the game was declared a draw "by perpetual check."
The audience applauded the two masters.
Belgian champion Colle was unable to overcome his partner Opocensky: due to the time, it was necessary to "adjourn" until next Monday the end of a game whose outcome remains uncertain. Today, at 1 p.m., Doctor Tartakower against Opocensky, and Znosko-Borowski against Alekhine.
