Professor Santo, a Master of Dance

Professor SANTO

There is really no need to introduce Professor Santo to the wintering society which, for several years, has appreciated and esteemed this master of dance. Santo has managed to attract the sympathy of all, not only by his personal elegance, by the scrupulous method of his teaching of the choreographic art, but also by the delicacy of his manners and the charm of his amiable and considerate character
.
It is to his happy initiative that we owe the creation, in the Savoy function room, of the tea dance "Les Ambassadeurs" where the elite of our society meet every day from 4 to 7. Is there in Nice, in fact, a more pleasant room for dancing than that of the Savoy? The orchestras, without stopping, punctuate the latest fashionable steps, and the attractions come to increase the splendor of these famous tea dances. For Santo is an artistic director who has proven himself at the Washington Palace in Paris, the Ruhl in Nice, the Royal in Vichy, the Carlton in Monte Carlo and elsewhere.

In the pretty salons of the Hotel Polonia, Santo created, last year, an "Académie de Danses Modernes" whose success is still growing. Every morning, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., except Sundays, Santo gives his dance class there and has the gift, in a few lessons, of training excellent dancers.
This is a tribute that we are happy to pay him.

A truly original idea, due to Santo's beautiful imagination, will be realized at the Grand Gala Tea-Dance which will take place today at the Ambassadeurs, Salle des Fêtes du Savoy, 1st floor. The best Houses of Nice will present the very latest models for 1925 in Haute-Couture and Fashion and will offer to the assistants, by way of drawing, a dress worth 1,000 francs. and a hat worth 250 francs.
