The New President Elect of the United States

Mr. Coolidge was only in his present office because of the death of Mr. Harding. But since he took up his post in the White House, he has gradually gained such popularity that in the recent election to elect the new President in 1925, he won over his opponents, Democrat Davis and Mr. La Follette, by 379 votes out of 531. This is the clearest victory recorded in the history of the United States.
