THE MINISTERIAL INQUIRY ON THE HIGH COST OF LIVING

To continue the investigation they had been charged with by the Council of Ministers, Mr. Camille Chautemps and Mr. Queuille chaired, yesterday afternoon, at the Ministry of the Interior, an important conference intended to gather the opinions of the cooperative and commercial groups that offered their assistance to the government in order to combat the high cost of living.

Successively, the delegates, the director of cooperatives and those of the grocery unions, multiple branch companies, retail merchants and the various corporations of Les Halles proposed their suggestions.

The ministers will make a detailed report on all the projects that were discussed during this meeting and the cabinet council will be called to deliberate on them shortly.
