Neapolitan Tomatoes. Four tomatoes, salt, pepper, flour, butter, grated cheese, two eggs.
Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the seeds and the largest fibers, salt, pepper: Make a very thick sauce, with flour, butter, grated cheese, a little water; add two egg yolks, the whites beaten until stiff. Fill your tomatoes with this paste and bake in the oven, twenty to thirty minutes.

Mashed potatoes with turnips. Turnips, potatoes, milk, butter. Boil turnips with your potatoes, one turnip for two potatoes, and make your puree by crushing the two vegetables together, with milk and butter. Put in the oven, as usual, and you will see how tasty your puree will be.

Economical pudding. 250 grams of stale bread, half a liter of sweetened milk, a tablespoon of caster sugar, four whole eggs, two spoonfuls of jam, a small glass of rum.
