The heroism of an aviation mechanic A plane had just taken off from an English airfield for France and was at an altitude of 1,200 metres when one of the engines stopped working. There, unable to make the necessary repairs, he remained, half suspended in the air and holding the broken part in his hand, until the pilot had found a landing area. |
