BRIGNOLES. - The Pic-de-Bretagne radio-telegraph station reported on Thursday evening that a forest fire of large proportions had just broken out five kilometres south-east of Rougiers, in the district of Brignoles.
The news thus presented was inaccurate. There was no forest fire in this region. Mr. Brun, sub-prefect of Brignoles, was kind enough to inform us that a fire, which was quickly extinguished, started in the woods of La Brau, between Carcès and Vins, located forty kilometres from Rougiers. It follows from all this that the observer must have misjudged the distance.

Favored by beneficial rain in recent days, the grape harvest promises to be abundant and of good quality. The grapes are not yet fully ripe, but with the sunny days we have had, the harvest will take place in the first days of September. So far no transactions have been concluded regarding grapes.
