A Deadpan Municipality
On the walls of the cafés, consumers will be able to find out the price of the supreme journey. The municipality of Cuisery (Haute-Saône) has just taken advantage of the fact that the monopoly of the funeral services of the city had expired, to purchase a hearse and make the funeral vehicle available to the inhabitants. A delicate attention, certainly!... But to announce this news to its fellow citizens, the municipality has had superb posters posted on the walls of the cafés and other establishments of this kind, with rental rates, as follows:
Horse Hearse Total 1st class 20 fr. 40 fr. 60 fr. 2nd class 15 fr. 25 fr. 40 fr. 3rd class 10 fr. 20 fr. 30 fr.
This "Brother!" "You have to die" is not a salutary advice for lovers of "well-packed" aperitifs?
