The Miracles of Cinema

To represent a sinking boat on film seems an impossible undertaking. One of our modern directors has judged otherwise. He has just achieved this miracle by having built from scratch, in a Parisian studio, the front of a yacht which, mounted on a mobile dome, seems to undergo the assaults of the waves and sink little by little into the sea.
