L'Écho de Paris 28 septembre 1924

A plane lands in the center of Bordeaux.

Bordeaux, September 27. Saturday morning, around 7:50 a.m., the people of Bordeaux who were outside on the quays could see a plane coming from the north, performing acrobatics over the Garonne, then diving directly towards the Place des Quinconces, where it was coming to land.
Officers, who had been following the aircraft's movements, went to the pilot to give him a ticket. The plane was the one with which Bécheler had landed, on October 5, 1922, in front of the Grand Palais, in Paris.
The pilot came from Angoulême and it was voluntarily that he landed on the Esplanade des Quinconces. The plane was driven, with its wings folded, into a garage in the midst of public curiosity. (Corr.)
