Miss LENGLEN wins a horse race The French colony of London has just won some fine money at the Aintree horse meeting. On the program of the first handicap race was there not a horse bearing the famous name: "Mlle Lenglen"? Naturally, all the French supported the chances of this competitor with their books, the odds giving them 3 to 1. "Mlle Lenglen", a filly, won her race in a style as brilliant as that of Mlle Lenglen, women's tennis champion... And the happy French went to the book with a smile. |
