FAMILY PRESTIDIGITATION

The flaming horn

Effect: Using a sheet of tissue paper without preparation, the conjurer, with bare arms and having presented his hands on both sides, makes, under the eyes of the public, a small cone which he ignites and, instantly, he transforms the ashes into a scarf.

Explanation: A drawer matchbox is essential to perform this little trick.

Half open, it is placed on your magic table. The scarf is piled up in the drawer of the box so as to provide the smallest volume. The box contains matches. The scarf is invisible to the spectators, because the part of the drawer where it is located is towards the back of the stage. From a distance, you don't notice that the box is half open. Often we don't even notice the box.

The cone having been made, you take the box, you open it completely and take a match which you light by rubbing it on the box. By closing the latter, she chases away the scarf that comes into your hand.

At the moment when the horn is only a flame, you smother it between your hands and suddenly unfold the scarf which, preferably, will be the color of the ashes of the paper (i.e. black) or better perhaps, the color of fire (red).
