LET’S TRANSFORM. ...CABINET DOORS

Do we remember from our grandparents old cabinets of which only the doors remain, the bodies of the cabinets being damaged by time? We can use these pretty doors in many ways...

1°As a base for a coat rack in an anteroom, we place our two door leaves on the wall and we place in front of them, having it sealed in the wall, a copper support for hats made up of several horizontal rods (common commercial model).

Below this support, a second copper rod also, including several coat rack heads. This arrangement gives a lot of richness to an ordinarily ordinary piece of furniture.

2° As a cupboard door, this uses only one door leaf. The effect will be ornamental and will completely transform the appearance of an ordinary cupboard.

3° Concealing a corner toilet in a bedroom. We will secure the doors to the wall parallel to the dressing table, and a little in front of it. We will have a wooden crossbar fixed at the top intended to hold the leaves when closing.

4° As a communication door from one room to another, for example from an anteroom. If the leaves are not all the same size as the door frame, have a carpenter add uprights on the right and left to compensate. The backs of the doors are generally made of plain wood, so we will paint them light (gray or white) if it is the color of the living room, and we can even add gold threads to the moldings.
