THE THREE ENGLISH AVIATORS’ AROUND THE WORLD IN SEAPLANE the seaplane a few moments before its departure the aviators on board the device As we have announced, three English aviators have undertaken to fly around the world. Leaving last Tuesday from Calshot, near Southampton, the bold pilots had to land in Le Havre due to the intensity of the fog. They took off yesterday morning, at 11 a.m., from the Seine estuary and arrived in Lyon at 3 p.m. 40. They plan to leave this morning for Rome. Here, on board their seaplane, are the three pilots: Major Stuart Mac Laren, leader of the expedition (1); Lieutenant W. Plenderleith (2) and Sergeant R. Andrews. |
