SOME PICTURESQUE ASPECTS OF PARIS UNDER THE SNOW IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE SWEEPERS HAVE PASSED

NICOLAS-II AVENUE, DESERT, UNDER THE SNOW. ON THE LEFT, THE PETIT-PALAIS; ON THE RIGHT, THE GRAND PALAIS
The snow fell last night with enough abundance that Parisians who went out in the morning before 9 a.m. could sink lightly into a soft white carpet. Thanks to the salt spread by shovelfuls on the roads and the activity of the cleaning teams, the roads were soon cleared.
However, the Paris region public transport company, keen on faster scanning to facilitate the circulation of its cars, has adopted a practical system to get the job done quickly. It has old horse-drawn sweepers towed by buses. |
