While this parachutist was making an ascent in order to then drop down with his device, the balloon caught fire 30 meters from the ground and forced him to jump suddenly and much earlier than he had intended. This demonstration was part of the program for the July 4 celebrations in Des Moines, in the state of Iowa, in the United States, where this remarkable snapshot of the balloon in flames as the parachutist left it was taken.
