A drunkard shoots his wife and then brainburns herself
SAINT-ETIENNE, August 23. A domestic quarrel arose yesterday evening between Louis Chelle, forty-seven years old, a metallurgist, and his wife, Victorine Genestat, fifty years old, residing at 4, rue Claude-Della-Roa, in Saint-Etienne. The husband, who was given to drinking, had come home that evening drunker than usual, on the occasion of his son's departure for Tonkin. A violent argument broke out between the two spouses, and suddenly. Louis Chelle, arming himself with a revolver, fired four shots at his wife who was hit by a bullet in the right side and three in the head. After which, he blew his brains out.

A young man kills his mother-in-law with two stab wounds
BORDEAUX, August 23. This morning, in Cenon, a suburb of Bordeaux, the woman Vigneau was killed during an argument, with two stab wounds, by the young Gaston Vigneau, aged twenty, born from her husband's first marriage.

Cyclist crushed by a truck
Accidentally falling off her bicycle, yesterday morning at 10:15 a.m., rue du Départ, a woman whose identity is unknown was crushed by a truck from the City of Paris, driven by the driver Etienne Clavier. Taken to Necker Hospital, she died almost immediately.

Truck versus car: two injured
A car, driven by Mr. Fernand Robert, mechanic, 2, place Diderot, in Vincennes, violently hit a truck loaded with rails. The driver of the car was only slightly injured.
