| Pessimists are the plague of a nation as they can be that of a commune. "We will never have electricity!" proclaimed some retrogrades who were determined to do nothing to obtain it; and when poles, wires and transformers were installed, the same defeatists insinuated that the new light would not appear before next year... Now, here is the divine spark making its appearance for our festival in Auvers and it is no longer up to each of our fellow citizens to lead it to its home. |
