The competent authorities being of this opinion, only the question of money remains an obstacle to the application of this method. And we added: On roads with heavy traffic, such as for example the road from Biarritz to the Spanish border, we have already planned for widths of 7 m. 50 to 8 meters.

However, one of our readers points out to us that, precisely, this road, on which thousands of cars pass every day, at rapid speed, has just... been narrowed, by installing an electric tramway which "eats up" ”, in some places, a good third. At the Guéthary bridge, in particular, a very real danger has arisen from the creation of this unfortunate route, and we are constantly expecting accidents...

Don't widen the roads for lack of money! But let's shrink them, no, it's no longer a game!...
