An improvised mechanic

With a short journey ahead of him, the King of England found it unnecessary to sit in his lounge car. He simply climbed aboard the locomotive and, under the direction of the engineer, enjoyed driving the convoy. The convoy arrived safely and George V was as delighted with his initiative as the Queen, who had insisted on accompanying the King on the engine.
