We have the Olympic stamps, the “Olympic Games” cigarettes; individuals have not let themselves be left behind by the administration. Handkerchiefs, belt buckles, cigarette cases, ashtrays, charms, watch cases are decorated with sports vignettes: runners, boxers, jumpers, etc., etc.

We even saw envelopes marked with five symbolic circles in a stationer's window...

Naturally, the signs of the traders, established around the stadium, are all to match. There is the Olympic bar and restaurant, there is even... Olympus, where walkers are guaranteed to find divine ambrosia and the sweetest nectars, not to mention Edenic freshness.
