This charming reading light, light in color, easy to put on, will make you, dear readers, a pretty little piece of indoor clothing. It is knitted, hand-style, with a light, openwork border. But you can also make it yourself, following the instructions given below.

Execution. You need 250 grams of Saint-Epin zephyr wool, double stitched, and two 0 m needles. 004 in diameter. This e-reader can also be made from Schappe silk; you need 500 grams of silk.

Start at the back, at the bottom. Cast on 115 stitches, and work in garter stitch for 62 rows (two needle stitches always in the right side) (fig. 1), add 20 sts. on each side for the sleeves and make 48 rows in the same way. Close 10 sts. in the middle, make each side separately, first 48 rows. Close the 20 sts. sleeves and finish with 62 rows.

Second side of the same. Sew the sides and under the arms. Place a large chain at the waist as a belt.

Surround the entire garment and the ends of the sleeves with a crochet border consisting of 10 sts. chain, 1 m. single every 5 sts, for the first row. A second chain for the second row, which is stitched between the others, sometimes forwards, sometimes backwards, to form hoops (fig. 2). This light border is very easy to execute.
