| Currently, the centenary of the gas industry in France is being celebrated in Paris as well as the fiftieth anniversary of the Technical Society of the Gas Industry in France. The main meetings organized on the occasion of these festivals consist of an international gas congress and an equally international exhibition, which is held at the Palmarium of the Jardin d'acclimatation. This wonderful exhibition was inaugurated yesterday by Mr. de Selves, Minister of the Interior, who particularly congratulated the organizers. In the afternoon, a reconstruction took place by the Aero-Club de France of the first ascent in a gas-inflated balloon. There are many visitors to the Palmarium of the Jardin d’acclimatation. |
