THE SIX WIGS OF THE CASHIER OF THE OPERA-COMIQUE
Mr. Guillaume, commissioner of the research department, yesterday carried out a search in a hotel located at 11, rue du Grand-Prieuré, where Picard, the indelicate cashier of the Opéra-Comique, had a room rented for several years. The magistrate also discovered a sum of two hundred and sixty francs, half a dozen wigs. Asked about the use of these hairpieces, Picard, who is very bald, declared that he used them to go to intimate parties with his friend, and had rented the room especially to put on makeup. The money and the hairpieces were given to Mr. Laroque, the investigating judge in charge of the case.
